So, after DOMINATING the Wither Boss in my private modpack, I decided to go after the Ender Dragon next, with HEE installed.
If you're curious about my Modpack, it was your average run of the mill modpack with a large focus on bosses and mobs. (e.g Chocolate Quest, Kingdoms Of The Overworld, RioV, Mutant Creatures.) plus the Invasion mod thrown in there because why the heck not.
I didn't actually know about HEE, I just threw it in there because it would make the end harder. I could've easily won if I got y'know. A TC crossbow, but naw, I stayed with my good ol' Legia Bow, because I thought I would shoot the dragon 8 times and it would be dead.
Big mistake, when I got in I saw the Ender Dragon. She seemed much more aggressive then before so I took a grand shot with my Legia bow, and an impressive total of 11 god darned damage came out. I was surprised because the bow normally does 55. So basically I had to destroy the towers.
It would've been easier if she didn't murder my Ender Dragon bike (Only form of flight.) constantly.
Next up was killing the big girl herself, which was no easy task. She kept on destroying obsidian pillars on me, raining fireballs down on my face, and diving down knocking me forty five kilometers away. It didn't help that she was lightning fast too.
It really didn't help that she summoned Angry Endermen AND I kept on looking into the eyes of the Classic Endermen too, making it really hard to aim.
After a while, I managed to get her down to a point where only one shot would kill her. Then she summoned hordes of Angry Endermen while she regened her health!
Luckily I was able to land two shots after she stupidly decided to charge at my face. When I defeated her, I was handsomely rewarded with a Dragon Egg and tons of XP. To then I went home because I had further Thaumcraft and RioV adventures to go to. And all of this could've been avoided, if I just used a crossbow from TiC
Moral Of The Story: Tinkers Construct solves everything.
Sorry for this long and potentially boring story, I just wanted to share my first time experience with Hardcore Ender Expansion.
