Yesterday, my niece (daughter of SIL, 7) asked to go to my father’s house. When we arrived, my dad was outside with his wife’s son playing catch. I asked if she wanted to hug him, and she kept walking, ignoring me. I called her name several times and she kept walking.
We get inside and my stepmom’s daughter approaches. My niece kept walking, ignoring them. But, she wanted my stepsister’s toys. Annoyed, my stepmom said she was being rude and the least she could do is say hello. She got prissy and started to pout. I told her we’d leave if she kept being rude.
She ignored everyone in the house because she wanted to play with my stepsister’s massive toy collection. I’m getting sick of my sister-in-law’s kids being so damn rude. We welcomed them into the family with no hesitation, but they act entitled. I’m about ready to tell my brother his wife’s kids aren’t welcome around.
