Hi so I applied for a change of status from J1 to F1 and they said on the internet that while the request is pending I could stay in the US up to 420 days.
Now my VISA J1 ends on june 2nd so in 2 weeks, and I still don't know if my application for change of status is pending... I paid 455dollars for the fees and I got a receipt but it says: "We have received the application or petition ("your case") listed above. This notice only shows that USCIS accepted your online filed case on the

"Received Date" listed above. It does NOT grant you any immigration status or immigration benefit, and it is not evidence that your case is still pending.

We will update your online account when we make a decision on your case or if we need additional information."
So how do I know when my case is considered pending, please? Thank you for the answers
