ELI5: Why does the color blue stick more to things?

Post Body
When I used to dye my hair, colors like pink, red, orange and even purple would wash off after a couple of weeks, but blue just stayed on forever. After a month you could still see a tiny bit of blue tint. Now, I work with printer ink, and noticed that Black, Magenta and Yellow come off my hands pretty easily on the first wash, but the blue stays for around two days. Is there a chemical explanation to this? Am I just crazy?
