Do you still own a house in your home country or sell? (US)

Post Body

Hello again everyone,

I have a question about property that you own in your home country. Currently I still live in the United States, but I plan to leave in 3-4 years 5 at the latest. But I'm looking at buying a house because rent is getting to be too expensive and it would be cheaper for me to buy a house. Though I really don't want to buy a house right now, in an area I don't want to live in.

But the benefits of owning one is when I plan to move, I always have a place to come back to, if the company requires that I log in using a us address I can set up my own VPN server that I can use to login with, I could also rent it out so, I could just set it at whatever the mortgage would be plus the yearly property tax that I have to pay twice to just cover the house.

I know I'm going to sell the car or give it to my parents.

So, what did you all decide on doing and if you ran into any issues going this route?
