Hey everyone! So I grew up going to a baptist church and havenât gone in several years, and lately itâs been really hard to deal with the anger I feel towards the modern church and how it relates to politics. I got into a fight recently with my parents and basically it boiled down to them believing Christians are persecuted in America today so they feel they have to back political figures who will âprotectâ them even if it means other groups suffer (which is just really emblematic of the problems I have with the church). We got over the fight but I just think about it every now and then and I find it hard to control my anger. I know I canât change them and will just have to deal with our differences but I am really struggling to let it go. Has anyone had a similar problem? Have you been able to work through it?
