Why is the price of GAS still so high?

Sure, the coronavirus made the movement of assets a thing but this price seems to be the new norm? Does anyone ever see the price dropping back down below 20 Gwei?
I'm asking primarily because of an Ethereum based game I play has a feature disabled due to the continued rise in GAS price. I am not complaining, I just want the feature back and not sure if this will happen if staying above 20 Gwei is the new norm.
