The Roman Army has increased its personnel, to include 100 pikemen and 100 light ranged units (of the former, 10 are reformed light cavalry, including our Despot, Thomas). They will fortify at Mystras, the largest Maniot-held settlement, and attempt to hold out against the enemy. [M] (the crisis post said that the enemy host is preparing to march against the city ; I assume this is the one that they were referring to).

The castle of Mystras is on a steep hill. As such the pikemen will guard the exits while the light ranged units pelt the enemy with projectiles. If the troops are feeling confident, or if they are given an opportunity - for instance, if the besieging troops decide to attack the fortified Maniot houses in order to carry out their mission of genocide, instead of sieging the castle - we will sally. The execution of these orders should be simplified by the presence of Thomas, Despot of Morea - who will not fight directly in the front lines.
