14-50 plug in a 6-50 receptacle?

Post Body

Is this a thing I can do? Can I just cut off the neutral of the 14-50 and use it in the 6-50?

The garage already has a 50 amp breaker on the 240 so amps arent an issue. Will cutting off the neutral of the plug affect anything?

Or am I better off searching for a 6-50 charger.

The reason I ask is because the only chargers locally in stock are 14-50

Edit here's a picture of the receptacle wiring
