Is workmanship getting worse anymore?....
Post Body

This is at a final inspection for a generator installation this morning.

Now that many electrical contractors are opening up separate "generator install departments" I am starting to see the work quality slowly degrade, especially the last few years. Not just generators, but overall too.

The contractor is a freshly minted master electrician and electrical contractor. Not that it means a ton, but he didn't quite understand and surely didn't take well to some of the things I pointed out.

Also, not electrically related, but they decided to install the new gas lines without a license....

With that being said, what is your opinion on the *quality** of the installation?*

I know it's a PITA to look through so many, but I posted alot of pics so you can form a legit opinion.

Be good 👍

I did not do the installation. I did the inspection.

These pics are from completed inspections.

I am not asking for help to decide on what to do, I have already made my decision.

The questions are just for friendly conversation and your professional opinion(s).
