So there's this sort of new thing I've been experiencing.
I've been feeling sharp pains on the left side only, in the back, just above my butt. It's not my actual hip joint, surprisingly enough. I Googled it, and I am feeling pain right on the gluteus medius.
For the first the first six months or so, it was only occasional, and it would happen after I did a good bit of walking. Maybe 30 minutes or so. Think of a big grocery shopping trip, or a busy day Christmas shopping. I would rest, and the issue would resolve itself until it happened again.
But over the last few weeks, it's been happening more easily than ever. It happens after standing for 15 to 20 minutes or so, just doing dishes. So I sit or lay down to rest, and it goes away for a couple hours, but it comes back within minutes of getting back up again.
Today, for example, I did dishes after dinner. Took about 30 minutes. I started getting that sharp pain again, so I sat back down for a few more hours. But almost every time I got back up to go do something, it came back within minutes. It's not severe and life-altering pain, but it's enough to make me wince and walk with a hand pressed against it.
I don't understand what's happening, and I'm frustrated. I'm already taking an NSAID, too. Been taking it for 3 months. It seems like I've just been getting worse overall lately.
Sigh.
