Anyone else have these weird, intense "stomach attacks" ??
Post Body

Alright, so I have had this weird symptom that doctors have never really figured out. I have been to a handful of different doctors, and none of them really seemed to hit the mark.

Basically, I have these episodes of intense, burning, all-over stomach pain. It makes my stomach very swollen and bloated, and when it gets intense, I vomit non-stop for hours, all while in pain so severe that I can hardly walk. I have had to go to the ER more than once because of it, and they always have to give me a double dose of IV pain meds to make the pain stop. During the more mild episodes, I take 4 extra-strength Tylenol, and after about an hour, the pain begins to subside.

I have had one doctor diagnose me with IBS. She started me on an acid-blocker, which reduced the attacks, but did not stop them completely. And when I did get them during that time, they were always severe.

I had another doctor diagnose me with an h. Pylori infection. I took the antibiotics and the acid-blocker, and while the attacks have decreased in frequency, I still get them.

For what it's worth, I have also had a full thyroid panel, and it was completely and unquestionably negative. I am also not on any medication.

I had another doctor try to tell me I have gallstones. But I asked yet another doctor about it, and that doctor said that diagnosis was absurd. Which makes sense. If it was gallstones, the acid-blocker wouldn't have reduced the attacks. And the pain is not in the right place, nor does it radiate outward to my shoulder or back. Also, vomiting does not help reduce the pain or stop the attack. It's just not gallstones. It can't be.

I have looked into Celiac as well, and every test was negative, including PillCam footage. They looked at my entire digestive tract, from my esophagus all the way to the a-hem exit. Nothing.

I have also tried eating as healthy as humanly possible and exercising more. It didn't help. I don't know why this keeps happening. There is no pattern to it. I have had an attack from drinking ice water before. And that's literally all I consumed. It happens when I eat or don't eat, eat a little or a lot, day or night, healthy or indulgent. I just don't understand, and I'm tired of it.

My only guess is that my stomach tissue stretches more than it's supposed to, and I get little micro-tears? I don't know. Does anyone else get these weird, intense stomach attacks?
