i’m getting a hysterectomy. it’s my first surgery and i’m unsure how i’ll tolerate anesthesia. i read somewhere that people with EDS respond to it differently. advice?
I had my tubes removed in 2022, no issues! Everyone on the surgical team was aware that I have hEDS. They used a different type of throat tube on me (apparently more flexible?), put me on beanbags so my body was cradled and gave me something for nausea. I don't know how much of that is normal vs special hEDS stuff but it went well regardless.
