Would it be wrong to restore my E28 M5 with a red leather interior?

I finally got my dream car and have been restoring it over the last couple of years. It is now mechanically sound, repainted, and equipped with a billy boat exhaust. The interior is the standard tan. I may stick with that and I thought about going black too but i really like the look of red leather in a black car. Would that be sacrilegious? I expect I will never sell it, but would it hurt the car’s value? Thanks for your thoughts.
