We as mods can’t check every single post in a sub of nearly half a million users and as such we rely on users reporting fake images posted here to be able to ban the user should they return results of posting stolen content. Simply making posts on the subreddit to “be cautious some of these users are fake” does not allow us to help with the problem. Reach out to us, submit reports on the photos you believe to be stolen content, etc. we can’t take action if we don’t know and not even reporting the images to us but making posts warning others without our permission or even discussing it with us so we can take action doesn’t make this a safe place to be. We need to be aware of these things happening and if you have proof of it then please reach out via mod mail with the proof as well, we do step in often and issue bans for this but again COMMUNICATION IS KEY and if you’re not communicating the issue to the team that can take actions to fix it then we’re not able to work against these users to make this a safe community either.
