What should I know about Riverside?

Hi all, I'm currently closing on a home in Riverside 100% remotely as a Kentucky transplant. I have yet to step foot in MN but it's a move of necessity more than anything. As a transplant, how do yall view Riverside? Is it a good place to raise a LGBT family? Any stigma about the area? Anything and everything y'all are willing to share would be a great insight for me.
