On my way to work this morning, I passed by a fox that was hit by a car sometime last night. I'm not against the eating of meat or the use of furs or leather, but to see a creature I havent seen outside of documentary or zoo get decimated by our encroachment on their lands keeps reminding me how far I want to leave this civilized world. How does one deal with roadkill, the beauty and wonder of nature reduced to mincemeat for the buzzards and crow? Is it enough to remember that it shall return to the earth, as nourishment for the scavengers?
