I recently adopted a older dog and besides being a lil chubby and sleeping a lot he’s fine except for this big ugly “skin tag” on his back leg that his last owner supposedly got checked out by a vet who said it was “nothing to worry about”. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all it’s just not pleasant to look at and it’s started to have dry peeling skin (I do make a point to wash it when bathing him once a week)
I had him for about 4 weeks now and I’m not quite sure what do about it, it hangs on so thin that I have half a mind to cut it off myself but I can’t bring myself to hurt the lil guy. How much would a surgery removal cost? And are there at home remedies that could work? Anyone with a similar issue?
Pictures of it are below
