Just wondering if anyone has done an F3 year is Australia in a specialty rather than emergency med?

Most jobs I see are ED based but would be interested to know if anyone has managed to get a placement in a specialty (surgery/anaesthetics/IM), equivalent to a JCF role here in the UK.

There's no way you'll get an anaesthetics job as an IMG with no previous anaesthetics experience.

Surgery / IM you're best doing a rotating job to get your face known and then apply for service positions in your second year.
