How bad is scope creep in Aus compared to NHS?

Post Body

I recall a post on here recently where someone said they have ANPs in Aus so was wondering whether they have the same issues over there with scope creep and loss of training opportunities for doctors?

Comments

At this precise moment in time there's minimal scope creep.

The federal government is completing a Scope of Practice Review for primary care to have non medical staff "work at the top of scope" which might produce some interesting consequences but the final report won't be available till the end of this year.

In addition the state Labor governments are toeing that party line and also developing similar reviews that are heavily influenced by consultant firms from the UK setting
