How do grades earned at DLI transfer to other colleges?

I understand that the academics here are quite rigorous for certain languages and thus I'm wondering if this is recognized to any degree, and if grades are transferred to other colleges under potentially a pass/fail basis, or if they'll be exactly as they are. For record, I'm interested in potentially joining for 4 to 6 years and transferring to a highly competitive university, so GPA is important.
