Non-con and Dominant/submissive scenarios are two of my biggest kinks. I wanted to explore those in a surprisingly (for me) less extreme setting: a marriage. The TL;DR version of my idea is the gradual and nonconsensual Stepfordization of a new wife. The basis of this relationship is genuine love. The wife is devoted to her husband visa versa. However the husband has some very specific ideas on the sort of wife he wants to spend his life with. And he's kept those secret as they stand in stark contrast to the independent, career-driven and slightly feminist aspirations of his partner. Soon the horrible dominoes begin to fall.

First, a set of naughty pics and/or a steamy video clip happily shot on their honeymoon gets "accidentally" posted (most assuredly by her husband) to one of her social media accounts. Aside from having her account suspended, friends and family distance themselves after witnessing the post and she's let go from her job. Her husband soothes her worries and insists she should take some time off, he makes enough for both of them, etc. Even after a few days and the shock has worn off, she finds she can't immediately apply for new jobs as an internet search of her name brings up lingering evidence and screen grabs of the NSFW content.

She settles into life at home, always thinking it'll be temporary. Her husband encourages her to begin taking up domestic hobbies she's neglected. Organizing their new, suburban home as she's always wanted. Trying to cook more complex recipes. Maybe even sewing or knitting. He's charming enough to veil his wishes as encouragement.

Eventually there's a treat - the husband sets up a pricey salon appointment to pamper her. Despite her instructions to the stylist at the salon, she emerges with an unwanted color and hairstyle that is outdated, both of which she would have never chosen for herself. Her husband brushes it off as a simple mistake, while he'd secretly spent a little extra to prearrange the whole thing.

Soon after she returns from an errand - likely to the supermarket - to find her entire wardrobe has been removed and replaced. Gone are all pants, comfy hoodies and even athletic shoes. In their place are exclusively items that would be more fitting for someone from the 1950's and 60's. Pencil skirts, fitted dresses, silk blouses, heels, perhaps even some knee boots. Gradually she finds a lock on her closet and drawers. From now on her husband will choose what she wears on a daily basis down to her lingerie, stockings/hose and even footwear.

When the wife begins to push back more forcefully, she's hit with the fact he's the breadwinner and "pays all the bills around here" to evoke enough guilt for her to relent. And in the bedroom, she is made to submit to his increasingly dominant persona. Whatever kink or fetish he desires, she endures. It's becoming implicitly clear her role is to serve. It could perhaps all culminate in her achieving the pinnacle of domestic bliss: pregnancy.

A modern, contemporary woman finds herself increasingly trapped in the outdated lifestyle of a traditional housewife by her manipulative husband. I just really want to explore that gradual loss of control over her life. Very open to customizing the path of her descent into more aggressive or subtle tones. I'd be looking to portray the bride character with my partner portraying the dominant spouse. I'd also be open to toying with gender roles and making this a lesbian couple with the "husband" just becoming a dominant female breadwinner type.
