We are modern day royals. Our countries had been at war for years before our fathers got sick of fighting. They agreed on peace but only if we combined our countries. The best way to symbolize this was for us to get married and become co-rulers. Same-sex marriage is common in our lands and that was not a big issue for the people of either country. Though I honestly had always envisioned marrying a man but I knew as royal I have a duty to my people to do what is in the best interest of my country. We are to be married in 6 months. Before that we are to meet several times to get to know each other this was one such occasion.
