When Jess, my partner’s name, approached me about the prompt, she wanted to write a story that was rooted more in emotional attachments and how two individuals predisposed to dislike each other: her character disliking mine for being an obvious too rich for his own good manwhore, and my character disliking hers as he saw her as the next notch on his belt, could come to genuinely like each other despite their differences and fall in love. It’s basically a complete 180 from the prompt’s original direction, but it seemed interesting enough so I figured why not take a shot on it.

While I did receive permission from my partner to post this roleplay, she has elected to go anonymous. Red text comes from her, blue text comes from myself. We wrote this quite some time ago and took an indefinite hiatus due to external circumstances. I actually had some reservations about posting this because of how little sexual payoff there is across the 20,000 words or so, but I think it’s a good short story nonetheless if you want to read something a bit more serious. I will warn you that there is only a single sex scene throughout this entire story, though two bookmarks have been added for when what I consider an emotional threshold to have been crossed. So, enjoy your slow burn story!
