I’ve always wanted to participate in Greek Life when I went to college. Rushing to join a sorority was always something that I knew I wanted to do. When I arrived on campus last fall, I was excited to see the different houses that were represented at my school. The first weekend on campus there was an event fair. I headed out to the quad and checked out the various different groups. Each group of girls seemed to be prettier and thinner than the last. By the time I reached the end my head was spinning and I felt a pit in my stomach. I waddled home and took a hard look in the mirror. You see, I do not look like these girls. While they have perky, shapely tits, I have a flat chest. They have narrow waists, while I have a flabby middle. That middle has a fupa, a hanging belly, love handles, and of course my hips and thighs. These sororities demand that their pledges have thigh gaps, I’ve never had one.

I couldn’t imagine ever receiving a bid to join them. So, I went to the couch and plopped down. It was my fault that I’m this fat and that I have no chance of ever being in their league. The TV played in the background as I lamented my pathetic figure and social life. Suddenly, an envelope came sliding in under my door. It said my name and had the letters of one of the most prestigious sororities on campus. How did they know my name? Was this a joke?

The letter informed me that I was invited to an application weekend which would determine if we would be invited to pledge. My mind raced thinking of all the horrific hazing stories I had heard about. But I desperately wanted to join. What would I be willing to endure to be one of them?

I’d like this play to include fat shaming, bullying, and general humiliation and degradation.
