We were all scared of monsters when we were younger, that they might hide under the bed, stay in our closet, watch from window. Those noises from outside, the paranoia from the dark and the scary stories we consume in media. But as we grow older we end up phasing out of that fear of the unknown. But, what if those monsters were real? And they had needs and wants and emotions just like us, except their outward and possible more feral behaviors might prevent them from obtaining such?
Well that’s enough of an introduction, this is a classic monster love RP, and I’ll be playing a pretty regular human, going about their days with no clue in the world such beings exist. That is until they stumble across one, or one stumbles on them. What type of monster are they? Well that depends on what you prefer! I carry my own references for these monsters, but keep in mind that I’m expecting more than just a human with horns. I enjoy arachnids with long spindling legs and thick armored abdomen, pincers that make for a unique kiss. Or perhaps an undead fae like creature, moss growing from its shoulder, it’s ribs creating a cage in its chest for sounds, unique fur. All of that and more, the only limit to what monster to love is really our creativity
I love slow burn, perhaps my character remembers that fear of monsters when they were a kid. Terrified of such a creature and dashing away afraid of their life, only to be drawn back somehow. Many my character finds the being curious, getting close and exploring it. Understanding maybe its unique language or monstrous ways, and it reaches climax with a human falling in love with something that is not human, perhaps not even mortal. Maybe eventually they grow such a blond that my character begins to change to fit their lovers own characteristics becoming a monster themselves to live happily with their found love
I write in first person and tend to be semi lit (1-3 paragraphs) and if need be sometimes literate. I expect that same but understand some responses require more or require less ! I write in first person and present tense, but I find it easy to work with people who don’t do those as well, there're ways to make it work. I prefer chat, but I’m open to messages, otherwise I don’t RP outside Reddit. I left this pretty vague as I love making ideas with others rather than just blurting out my own brain and that’s it.
