My grandpa recently passed and he left me a small wooden chest with an ancient padlock on it. He also left me a lock pick kit that he showed me how to use when I was a child. “Open the lock and the secrets to all my magic tricks are yours Sammy Boy!”

The cards are thicker than normal playing cards and on the back of each are odd symbols, images of animals and various shapes. They appear more carved than drawn. I shuffle them around and notice a weird feeling wash over me. After putting the cards down I read the note from grandpa explaining “These are a most hypnotic deck of cards. When shuffled in front of your volunteer or assistant they will slowly put them into a very deep hypnotic state. DO NOT stare at these cards yourself or you too will be hypnotized. He then went on to explain the methods to be used once hypnosis has been obtained and how to use a backwards three count to awaken the subject.
