I've been on a pump for 20 years and have been thru Mini-Med, Animas and have been on the Medtronic 670G for almost 4 years. Hopefully around end of June I will be eligible for a new pump and I'm seriously thinking about getting away from Medtronic!
Has the Medtronic sensors improved since the 670G and Guardian series? I am sick and tired of having to calibrate this thing every time I turn around! Seems like every time I get in a situation where I can't calibrate (driving, work situation, etc) this thing keeps going off and driving me insane. At the same time my girlfriend has a Dexcom and it never needs calibrating, plus it's always accurate. My 670G may be accurate an average total of 50 to 75% over a 7 day sensor life.
Thinking about jumping the Medtronic ship and going to Tandem. Thoughts on this decision are more than welcome.
FYI: I NEVER use the Auto Mode, tried it once and didn't like the way it worked. Been diabetic for 40 years, I know how to control myself.
