So for those who have played the Witch Queen Campaign I'm sure y'all have seen the resemblance that megamind and the witness share. But its not just a resemblance as they are indeed the same person.

So here's the story.

Megamind after becoming the hero or Metro City, lived a happy life with Roxanne, but one day a citizen who still held resentment towards megamind took it upon himself to attempt to kill him. However in the process this citizen Kills Roxanne.

Megamind becomes depressed and leaves the city to fall and turn to ruin. But thanks to an idea from Minion he begins to make a machine that can bring him into an alternate reality where the events of Megamind have not taken place yet so he can fall in love again.

However something goes wrong while in the machine and multiple Megamind's are all pulled from different dimensions and fused together. And it is so much light blue that the shades make him now appear as a grey color.

His cloak is a forever reminder of the deaths he caused by leaving the city to fall. And once the fusion was complete Megamind only wanted one thing to forget about his failure, nothingness. No life, no death. So he redesigned the machine and made its purpose to take worlds from realities and reshape them in his new image. His image of nothingness.
