What documents do you need for going out (locally) in Delhi for essential services?

Hi, my dad has been prescribed a medicine which is not available in any of the pharmacies near my house, so we would just have to go the hospital pharmacy to get it. What documents do we need to carry? Is there also an e-pass that we need?

The reason I'm asking is because I went out about 20 days ago also for a doctor's appointment with my dad, but we were stopped 5 times, and almost every police personnel asked us for a 'card', 'gaadi ka pase', etc. although they eventually let us go after seeing the appointment confirmation (practo's SMS).
