Hey I am brand new to 40k and chose death guard as my introduction into the hobby/game.. so far I am planning to go plague walker hordes with some plague marine backup. Have a combat patrol, and the death guard half of some starter box from a few years back from a friend. Blight drone, blighthauler, lord of contagion, typhus, 3 squads of marines of various equipment, and like 46 pox walkers.
what do yall think? is this gonna be a good comp so far? I know very very little and am going off of mostly imagination and what little I know of the way the army works. thus far i planned to slowly move a wall of poxwalkers to be a defensive wall with typhus and contagion leading them, then have my hauler and blight drone as my hit and run guys to put out fires, while the plague marine squads stay behind the wall of bodies and lob ranged attacks into enemy forces.. does this sound like a good idea or should i be looking certain places for solid proven strategies? I know 10th is pretty new but I am starting from 0 experience in this game and would love some input from experienced players as far as maneuvers and tactics for what I have so far. I am also getting a 5 man plague marine squad full of bolters and another 10 pox walkers from ebay in a week or two.
Also any suggestions for additions to this growing army are very welcome, either to improve its current comp, or to plug holes I have missed when it comes to death guard weaknesses
