I've just left the Abyss with my 5th rune and I'm wondering on what to do next. Zot is all cleaned out, so I could just pick up the orb and ascend, but I'd like to try for more runes.

Some questions:

-What brand should I aim for in a Longbow? I have a handful of scrolls of Brand Weapon and plenty of Enchant Weapon.

-I've trained up spellcasting/translocation/hexes enough to get Portal Projectile castable in Plate - are there any other good spells I could benefit from that I could train up easily? The only ones I cast are Shroud of Golubria (buffing before encounters) and apportation (grabbing stuff in the Abyss, mostly).

-What amulet should I look for? I stopped identifying amulets when I picked up my current Reflection one - is there anything better, other than artifacts? Same for cloaks - I'm assuming nothing can beat a dragonskin cloak.

-Any advice for Hell/Pandemonium? I've never done either. Hell worries me, with my resists being as crappy as they are. Is Pandemonium easier?

Also, which is better for a bow-user, strength or dex? Does strength even do anything for me?

Update: Still alive. Got to Zig:15 before I ran out of decks and had to leave. Found decent rings, nothing too spectacular, though I did find two scrolls of acquirement.
