Hello! I am in a band called Cellar Dwellar from Columbus, Ohio and last year we released an album called "When does it stop feeling like a dream?"
I wrote the lyrics of the album after my sister died unexpectedly and the album is about the period following that in which I repeatedly binged watched TP and other Lynch projects but I really saw the mirrored grief between Laura's parents and my own parents and myself as the the viewer of both.
The show gave me a lot of solace and helped me navigate my grief, and I owe this community a lot.
Here is the most directly inspired song, called "Dweller on the threshold" having quoting it directly with the opening "We are the dreamer who dreams and then lives inside a dream, but who is the dreamer?" The song was inspired after finishing the Return and exploring the idea of the "What if" timeline where Laura went missing instead of dying.
This song called "In Bardo" was inspired by the buddhist themes in TP, the idea of Cooper meeting different versions of himself and having to recognize these aspects to break out the cycle of Samsara. There is a direct quote of Dale's recitation of the Bardo Thodol half way through the song.
Finally this song called "Cellar Door" was inspired by the opening scene of Twin Peaks when the news of Laura's death was broken to the town.
Full album is out on all platforms, I appreciate y'all letting me ramble a bit here, just rewatched the Twin Peaks and Elephant Man and I forgot how much it helped me.
