How to approach strangers at bar and have conversations with them

I am 27 year old indian man in US looking to start dating again. I am using dating app and have some success there but nothing concrete I want start approaching women in-person at bars, gym. I need some advice on how to start and what to say after introducing myself. If you have any recommendations for youtube videos, books or any tips will be appreciated. Thanks

Edit 1: 03/10 was the first time I went out and actually approached someone, we had a decent conversation and the rejection that came after (she had a bf) didn’t hurt at all. Ill keep updating it if encourages someone to do the same.
