Ok. So I'm a male and I have a crush on a female coworker. I believe she may feel the same way, but I'm uncertain. The reason I think she feels the same way is that we talk all the time, both at work and not at work. We have a lot in common and we, at the very least, like each other as friends. She will often be the one to initiate contact each day and she texts me a lot. We will often text each other most of the day just to discuss both work related and non work related things. I have also caught her smiling at me and then she will look away as if embarrassed. Normally, I would say someone acting like this probably likes me as more than just a friend. However, there are two main things that are stopping me from asking her out. One is that she may just be very friendly and just wants to be friends. If I ask her out, it may make her uncomfortable and it could hurt our friendship. As we are coworkers, this could make rejection worse than in a normal situation. The second reason, which is my main reservation, is our age difference. I'm 44 and she is 28. I know that age gap is not unheard of, but it is on the higher side. I'm kind of worried that she may reject me because of my age. If I were 10 years younger, I think I would be far more likely to just ask her out. What do you think I should do?
