I want to start dating again.

For context I was in a 2 year on and off relationship. Since then i haven’t had a healthy relationship and I find it hard to open up to someone new again. I wanna be able to be emotionally available again. After we stopped talking i fell in love with my bestfriend who didn’t reciprocate my feelings so i put space between us. I know that i can love again I don’t want to give up on love but Im comparing my past relationship with any opportunities at a new one.
