Just started Dark souls...

I know I'm a little late but DS3 looked so good I wanted to play through from the beginning to understand all the lore e.t.c
Fuck me, I died to the Asylum demon 10-12 times before I managed to beat it!!
Glad to see there's still a community here that can help, I think I'll need it! Any advice for a noob? (Apart from 'kill the dogs first') ;)
