Train travel (Amtrak US) with 6 month old

Post Body

Anyone here with experience traveling via Amtrak in the US with a 6 month old or similar age? We have to move cross-country and are hesitant to fly as the little one wonโ€™t be vaccinated fully.

It seems like there might not be enough space in an Amtrak bedroom to fit a travel crib? Even if there is, how smooth is the ride? Iโ€™m worried about the little one getting thrown about as the train jerks in the middle of the night.

The wife and I have never taken Amtrak so we have no idea what to expect.
