15 months and, if I'm honest, we haven't bonded as tightly as I would like. She seems far more interested in her mum, sister, and Nanas. I get that. Female influence and such.

However, I've seen her with her grandads, and she's crawling all over them. Rarely does that with me, at all.

Rewind to Saturday. Regular day with the kids while wifey works. Had a fantastic day with the oldest; laughing, joking, generally having fun. Littlest one seemed a bit off for the day, and I wondered if she was a bit unwell. Maybe she she was as she decided that I was suddenly her favourite person for the rest of the weekend. Lots of cuddles. Toddling over to rest her head on my knee. Wanting to be carried around and look at things. She even seemed to avoid mum on the Sunday, which is unheard of!

It's a little thing. A small victory, but perhaps I'm finally getting to be someone she wants to be with.
