Hello, I am a new owner to a pc. I still game on my ps4 and I know friends on my friends list that use a booter application i believe to track IP addresses in the playstation party they're in and boot them offline. I want to know how to protect my pc from anything like that or better yet my internet in general to keep me and my family safe from any potential harm coming from outside. I have nephews that also use the internet and i don't want anyone like on their minecraft server doing things like that as well.

TLDR; I am looking for advice on how to keep my internet secure from people who use booter applications to boot me offline or track down my town, address, etc. (Hasn't happened but i do know people that do that and I don't trust them enough to ask them because i fear they can or may do that to me if anything goes south)
