Tribal to feudal

Hi all I’m sure this has been asked a million times. I often play as a Viking, I love it and it’s fun. Buuuuut, I can only play it tribal as once I go feudal I fail miserably. I’ve conquered all of Europe and Africa still as tribal but it’s not the point. Every character but me is feudal and my home towns are shit because of it. How do you do it without going bankrupt really quickly ?!
