Greetings, all! I was referred here by r/gamecube since they seem to think my problem is my new (to me) television. They called it vertical foldover, she suggested I recap the television. I want to share my plight with all of you and see if you agree.
I'm confident I could recap the board safely and I've been reading up on how to discharge the tube, but I don't want to crack it open and take the risk if I can't get an expert or two to confirm the diagnosis and treatment.
The primary symptom is vertical banding across the top of my screen, combined with geometry bowing inward at the sides in some but not all video modes.
