Getting withdrawal symptoms after binge drinking
Post Body

Hi all.

I only drink on the weekends, and when I do, I usually go pretty hard. But I’ve noticed after a few months of this I’m starting to get what I understand to be withdrawal symptoms.

Insomnia, terrible shakes and massive anxiety and depression. Closing my eyes on a Sunday night feels like I’m shaking, not just my hands or legs. I also get a more unsettled stomach and liquid shits for a few days. I know i should maybe have a bit of a break, but is it normal to get withdrawal symptoms even though I am not drinking heavily for weeks on end?

I like to relax on the weekends, but it’s turning out to be almost not worth it. 2-3 days of hell following a couple of nights out.

What are people’s thoughts? Am I getting withdrawal symptoms or is it a case of just getting older? Almost 34 if that helps.

Thanks
