Reading the McKinsey way
Post Body

Hi everyone,

Just found this great thread so forgive me if this has been asked and answered before!

The McKinsey way seems to be the most popular book for new consultants out there. Even this subreddit has listed it as one of the ones to read. It has never been updated after 1999 however, so isn't it a bit outdated? And if so could you guys tell me which parts to focus on and which ones to simply accept as relics of the time?

As a bit about me, I'm about to start working as an analyst in the strategic advisory team at PwC. It has a lot to do with management consultancy and M&A advisory so if anyone has any suggestions or resources they think I should read up on that might help me, please let me know.

Thanks!
