How to deal with grieving and finals?
Post Body

I have some sad news: I lost my grandmother last Friday, the 25th, and one of my aunts on Saturday, the 19th.

And bad news: Final week starts tomorrow.

I've contacted my professors and three of four of them have given me an extension to take their exam. I'm in no condition to study right now, but honestly, I want to get these exams the hell over with.

I'm already highly distractable (ADHD) and the emotional pain I'm going through is not helping at all. I might as well not be on meds for the amount of work I'm getting done. It feels like the only thing I can do to keep from crying is numb myself with mindless things.

I'm going to see the student counseling center tomorrow for some advice, but I didn't know if any of you have been through this as well. How do you push through this and study? I don't know if I have the strength.
