Yes, this is in r/environment, despite not having anything really to do with the environment.
Yes, the top quote of course is the typical American hate:
Americans are dumb. (i am one, i can say that.) All this preaching of religion and terrorism are just methods of control. so sad.
But it's ok guys, he's American see? It's okay then to stereotype the entire country.
I wonder how quickly people would change their minds and embrace the scientific method instead if all the advantages of science that they enjoy were removed from them?
We finally have a voice of reason asking why this is even in /r/environmental despite the article only talking about how Americans are ignorant and dumb.
We also get our militant atheists chiming in:
Yet on the other hand I feel as though force is the only way. It took thousands of years of bloodshed for religion to be at the current power it is today, why can't Atheists rise up in the same way?
The Great Science Crusades, I tell you. Praise Science!
Also another great one which made me think I took the wrong turn and ended up in r/atheism:
Judaism Christianity Islam = Axis of Evil Against the Soul of Mankind
Ultimately though the best but not highly upvoted reasonable response we have here:
Bingo. The poll gives two options: young-earth creationism, or godless evolution.
I'm trying to figure out why I'm subscribed to r/environment again....
