So, I met someone for drinks yesterday. I called them today because I couldn't figure out their deal. They seemed great to talk to on the phone, and in text, but in person they were so uncomfortable with me.
I recieved the response 'having babies is really important to me, but it isn't to you, is it.'
I had to explain 'No, it's dangerous to have kids at 37. Our bodies are past that point where it is ideal.'
I didn't even go into how I could never give up my career to be a mom.
In the end, there's something odd about explaining to a 36 year old guy why a woman shouldn't be subjecting themselves to that kind of torture at my age.
P.S. Two loud cheers for being old enough to say I am too old to have kids. Heck, I am not even that old!!!!!
