So right now I'm in my favorite eatery/cafe, and a family has been sitting next to me for a while. Five adults, one monstrosity under 1 year old. Generally quiet at first, they're eating, I'm watching Journey to Atlantis while having my soup. But then... the screeching. Every couple of seconds. Not actually crying, just that shrill high screech we've all come to know and hate. None of the a adults do anything. No attempts at shushing, no removal of the nuisance. It was fairly quiet before the kid started up, as a lot of people come here to chill and use the free WiFi. There's a whole outdoor area where people with kids usually easy (especially since it's so nice out here), but these people would rather ignore the screeching for nearly a half hour. Ugh.
TL;DR - People with whiny kids need to have better respect for other business patrons.
