Hello!

I'm a 29 year old guy in the Chinatown/South Loop area of Chicago.

Simply put, I'm looking for a stable, loving, long term relationship with a cute, local girl who is relatively sane (lol) and has her life together. Yes, I’m quite aware that this post is unorthodox for this sub. Ideally, I'm looking for someone in the age range of 24 - 35, but there is some flexibility there for the right girl. I'm not super picky in the appearance department. Personality and values are vastly more important to me. I'm giving Reddit a try as dating apps are such a shit show anymore and I'm not that much into the bar scene and the like.

About me: art is the most important thing in my life. My primary pursuit is the novel I'm writing (already planning a second one as well). Besides that, I'm looking to get back into photography after a hiatus. Unsurprisingly, I love to read, listen to music, and watch movies, as well.

Aside from the arts, I enjoy studying philosophy, economics, history, and political theory, as well as traveling, trying new restaurants, going for long walks around the city, museums, and occasionally cooking. Also, I think I have a pretty great sense of humor, if I do say so myself. Prepare for lots of laughs!

I value honesty, communication, respect, kindness, compassion, patience, and affection. It would be nice to date someone who has similar values. I don't screen too rigoursly on political or religious matters, as long as you're not a right winger. Personally, I'm a leftist and I am spiritual, but not at all involved in organized religion.

Nitty gritty: I'm white, 5'10", with a thin build. I work in the advertising industry.
