I'm a level away from getting Summon Shadowspawn, and was thinking of homebrewing the shit out of the monster.

Black rats are a theme with this character, as is using black ichor like magic substances as the bases of his spells for summons, and wanted to keep the theme running.

The idea I had was a rat like monster (medium sized creature as per the spell rules) that has big red eyes, a mouth that is unproportiontly large, going as back as where shoulders would be. It's slowly falling apart, barely able to hold its own mass together as smaller similar rodent like creatures fall and surround the larger entity, while it occasionally makes tendrils that stab and reassimilate some of the falling rodents.

Go fucking wild with it, the creepier the better. If you have any questions lemme know
